Example:

- Jack and Jill had a baby boy.—They did? Oh, that’s nice. I know they had wanted a son.
- Speak up. Bob doesn’t hear very well.—He doesn’t? Why doesn’t he just get a hearing aid, then?
- I saw Harry last week.—You did? How’s he doing these days?
- Mary doesn’t have a car anymore, so you’ll have to pick her up on your way to work.—She doesn’t? Oh, I didn’t realize she was that bad off.

Exercise. Answer the following questions, using declarative questions like You have? / He will? / She hasn’t? etc.
