to hang on: to ask someone to wait
Example:
Are you going to the store? Hang on a minute – I’ll come with you.
twenty-four/seven (24/7): constantly, around the clock
Example:
My favorite hamburger place is open 24/7, so sometimes I go there for a late-night snack.
